The club was celebrating two county intermediate hurling championships in the 90s and our first County Senior Final appearance in 97 where we were beaten by a star studded Patrickswell team. Our Intermediate win’s came in 1990 against Ardagh in a replay and in 1996 against Mungret also won in a replay. There was a great turn out of ex hurlers and supporters on the night. Frankie thanked everyone for turning up and for supporting our club. Deceased mentors, players and supporters were remembered on the night. The club took this opportunity to make presentations to our popular club president William Snowie Heffernan who celebrated his 90 th birthday recently and an outstanding club official and Chairman in Jim Dooley who was Chairman of the club for 24 years. There were a few great stories shared on the night from great days in the past. He spoke about all teams that represented the club in 2021 and thanked the players and management for their time and effort given  through the season.\nTreasurer Donie Ryan gave a detailed account of all income and expenditure for the last year and went through the financial statement in great detail. This was a keenly contested county final between the two south Limerick teams. The Bouncers had the better start and settled into the game with some great scores from team captain Jamie O Shea. Our half back line of Robbie Ryan, Bill Crawford and Fionn O Carroll were also prominent and gave a great supply of ball into the forwards where Jamie O Shea was a constant threat both from play and placed balls. Jamie was well supported in the half forward line by Cian Harty and Haulie Gallahue who got through a lot of work. Garryspillane had the better of the exchanges in the first half and took a healthy lead to the break Garryspillane 1.05  Bruff .01 \n  On the resumption and aided by the wind Bruff got more into the game and started to eat into the Garryspillane lead taking some fine scores. They pushed hard for a goal or two but Ciaran Hyland in goal wasn't going to be beaten easily, batting out a few balls that were being dropped in on top of him. When called upon his full back line Edward Moriarty, Paul Quane and Adam Tobin never faltered. The Bouncers regained control around the field with mid fielders Olan Ryan and Philip Ryan to the fore. Philip chipped in with a lovely point from play. Bruff to their credit carried the fight to Garryspillane to the end but the Garryspillane defence was heroic and kept bringing out the ball.  The Bouncers found some breathing space with a welcome well taken point from play from full forward John Lees. Garryspillane worked hard to keep the pressure on Bruff with Paul Fenton and Cathal Maguire chasing down Bruff defenders. Garryspillane who on the night were that bit sharper around the field were value for their win. The two subs introduced in the second half Maurice Reynolds and Fergal Matthewson were industrious when introduced.\nThe Bouncers ran out winners on the night on a score of 1.07 to 5 points for Bruff. They now play Bruff in the Final, date and venue to be confirmed. \nU15’s - On Monday night just gone there was a super win for our U15 hurlers in co final replay last night in Martinstown over Newcastlewest. Our lads got off to a flyer with 3 goals in the first qtr. Massive effort from all the over the field made life easier than the initial hard fought replay. Newcastlewest have a fine team and is a club making strides in the hurling landscape in Limerick. This team has trained very hard all summer and it was just reward to get them over the line. It was also a big help to have a large bouncers support on the night. Thanks to all who roared us on. Special word to the parents too for their help and work over the summer. Hopefully this will be a springboard for these lads to keep it going. Some wayward shooting was to prove costly.\nCappamore came resurgent in the second half and with the breeze to their advantage they took the game to our boys. Mid way through the second half the game was on level terms but our lads were giving it to their all. The loss of centre back John English through injury just after the second water break was to prove critical with Cappamore hitting 1-4 without reply in the final 5 mins to put a gloss to their victory. It was a solid performance from Garryspillane playing at the top level with indeed a very young team, almost all of whom are underage again next year and the year after. The new policy came into effect from this January 2021.\nSo all teams move to the uneven numbers (U7, U9, U11, U13, U15 & U17, etc). \nIn Limerick the U7, U9 and U11 age grades will come under the remit of Coaching & Games. The U13, U15 and U17 age grades will be planned by County Bord na nOg. Feile now reverts to U15 level.\nLimerick senior County Board will play competitions at U19 and U21 to bring the gap between Bord na nÓg and adult teams.
